I heard this song on the radio today. Then I looked it up and realized, it’s existed for THREE WHOLE YEARS and I didn’t know about it. So, I want to make sure people know about it because it’s fantastic.

Also, while you’re creeping her youtube, check out her other stuff.
That is all

A couple of weeks ago, it was my Dad’s 58th birthday, so we went out to the West 50 Pourhouse: a place that has over 50 different beers on tap. Perfect for a Dad on his birthday.

When we went there was a live band playing jazz. I was impressed! They were fantastic! I heard them play all of my old favourite hits from the 90s in Jazz form, as well as a few songs I didn’t recognize. They are a tight group with an obvious love of music. To top it all off, they played a jazzified version of Happy Birthday for my Dad!

So! Of course I had to talk to them! They’re called Afterthought and they play there every Thursday night. Also, it turns out they liked what I had to offer. So on November 6th, 2014, I will be joining them at the Pourhouse. Come check it out!

If anyone has tried to contact me via or, it probably hasn’t worked. So please either use the contact form on this website or email me at

Thank you, Cheers.

Sad, Sad Sunday

Ladies and gentlemen, I am human. I get sad, often. Sometimes it’s for no reason at all, but at least once a week, I do have a reason: Sundays.

Now, I could be sad about having to go back to work every morning for another whole five days, but that’s not really what makes me sad. Actually the reason is really, really mushy so brace yourselves.

Me and my baby live about an hour drive away. On top of that, I work dayshift and he works night shift. So, the only time we get to see eachother is weekends. Every Friday (most months) he’ll come to my place, or I will go to his, and every Sunday, we’ll part ways again.

So when I heard this song on the radio, it resonated with me. I bled for it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is my anthem, the embodiment of the way I feel, and my new favourite song (for the next couple days or so).

Cullum and Porter

It’s been a while since I’ve made a blog post, so because of this I have to get two out at once. Over the last few months of listening to Toronto’s Jazz station (Jazz FM 91), I’ve heard two voices that I go crazy about every time I hear them. I’m not sure what about each of their voices it is that I love, something about the passion, the tone and timbre, I don’t know. Point is, recently these two men have joined up to recreate a song that was already friggin fantastic, AND I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. This has already made my morning more times than I can recall to memory.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Jamie Cullum and Gregory Porter’s rendition of Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood

So yesterday I modelled in an “Garden of Eden” themed photo-shoot, as Eve. It was the first nude photo-shoot I’ve ever done where I wasn’t also doing the shooting. Fortunately (unfortunately?) there was so much going on between work and traffic to get to the site, that I didn’t really have time to be nervous about it.

We met up at a Tim Horton’s on Queen Street, shook hands, introduced ourselves, and then proceeded to the site. He lead me down to the water treatment facility in East York, and then along the beach to where a river flowed down into the lake and a couple of logs lay on the sand. It was secluded enough that no one would see us there and populated enough that if I needed help, I could yell for it. Once we got there I texted my location to my boyfriend so he’d know exactly where I was.

The thing that surprised me the most about this shoot, was that it was only awkward when I was taking my clothes off… that and taping maple leaves to my crotch to mimic an olive leaf… Beyond that it was as though this was the way I always hung out with people. The photographer, Yunner, was very friendly and respectful, which made the experience all the more favourable. He was also very good at what he does (which is why I agreed to it in the first place).

The shoot went on for almost 2 hours, and now I have a new modelling experience under my belt—or lack thereof 😉

I should get the pictures within about 2 weeks. I will post some of the the more PG rated ones in the modelling section here. Beyond that, I will update with the time and place of the art exhibit.

Sometimes life isn’t fair. Bad things happen, people treat you badly, circumstances just keep building up or things just keep getting in your way, and even when it should be easy (because your circumstances are much better than some people’s) life leaves you wondering what you did to deserve this. It leaves you utterly defeated.

Well you can’t take a break from life. You can’t just stop without forfeiting the option to continue. Sometimes when life gets you down there is nothing you can do, except to keep drudging your way through it and wait for the hard times to pass.

Fortunately there are things out there that can help to ease the pain.

I’m just joking. Don’t drink, kids, it’s bad for you.

It’s been a long hard week at work, and now that it’s Friday, it’s time to get back to the music.
(that’s the thing by the way)

How’s about some Louis Armstrong

So yesterday, a seriously awesome hard-rock/metal band (and some new friends of mine) gave me their EP.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, when you’re sitting there listening to the radio on the brutal drive home from work, and all you want to hear is hard rock or metal of any form or punk or post-hardcore, it is the WORST feeling in the world when you turn to your designated radio station for that genre, and all you get is the indie-pop crap that’s all over the radio these days.

indie-pop (ˈindē-päp) n. Pop music designed to sound like stereo-typical independent artists’ music, but produced by fully represented artists and labels, with the specific purpose of crushing the dreams of true indie artists.

NO I do not care if all you all you all you really really really wanna do is post up next to me, play me something worth listening to.

FORTUNATELY, Tether gave me something worth listening to!

Sometimes it’s difficult to get through the week. You take it one day at a time and sometimes it still seems to last forever. But today is humpday, it’s all downhill from here. Tomorrow is Thursday, and before we know it, it will be Friday and we’ll be heading home for the weekend!

That being said, it doesn’t hurt to have some friendly assistance get to get you through those last couple of days.

Watch this video, and imagine the weekend 😉

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it’s been a long time in the making but it’s finally here. Welcome to my website. It’s a bit sparse at the moment, but have a look around, you might like what you find. And please, stay tuned for updates.
